What polish do you recommend for a dark coloured car?

I use Zaino Show Car Wash followed by Zaino Polish. It looks good on a Topez Blue.

I’ve been using autoglym super resin but it seemed to leave swirl marks, I've just bought some of the auto glym ultra deep shine for dark cars. Where can I buy the Zaino Polish?

I try to polish the car 3 times a week but I still get very slight swirl marks on the paint. The paint is only about 11 months old. It looks near perfect when it’s just polished but as soon as the shine wears off the swill marks come back.

Have a look at the Meguiars range. I've been using the 3-step Crystal products to good effect. It's available from Halfords or mail order.

Autoglym leaves too much residue for my taste & the shine doesn't seem to be as deep - more of a "surface" shine if you know what I mean.

Swirl marks are a constant PITA. What are you useing to wash the car?
I use the Meguiars lambswool mit, sponges tend to hold grit near the washing surface. Don't make circular sweeps, wash in straight parallel lines instead as this minimises the lines that reflect the light.

You can get Zaino off ebay and I think Halfords sell it.

I use Meguiars car wash but I do use a sponge in circular movements. I had polished the car about ten times with the super resin but the finish was good but as you said just a surface shine. Im now on my 3rd or 4th coat of Auto glym ultra deep shine and the swirl marks are starting to get better. I read on the internet it is better to use vertical strokes to apply the polish to the side's of the car and front to back on the roof and bonnet, this is meant to make the lines of the car stand out more and give a deeper shine, don’t know if this is true but my car is looking better than it has before.

I don’t drive the car to work or in the wet anymore so I don’t really wash the car allot and when I do normally only use water.

Think im going to give the Meguiars stuff a go, the zaino seems to be on the very expensive side.

You do get what you pay for and when you buy zaino you are getting a top quality car product.  I am more than happy with zaino so I don't mind paying the price for it.

Never used Meguiars so I can't comment on it.  But I have heard other Beemer owners talk highly of it.

We'll get chance to look at your handy work in a week or so

Took the car out in the rain on Sunday night ( stupid idea) , it was covered in cr@p . Having to start polishing it all over again.

If anyone uses micro fibre cloths costco have 20 for £7 and they are twice the size of normal ones.

Does everyone have the problem with dark car; as soon as you wash them if you don’t polish it afterwards it looks worse than when it was dirty?
