Hi, im looking to buy a e30 325i convertible. I found a particular one with lots of extras, early 90's with  88k on the clock and in all round good condition at a reasonable price. It actually seems a bit too good to be true. Whats worrying me is that it has no service history but is HPI clear and has old mot's from 50k upwards.

Sould i just forget about it and buy a fully documented history car or is this not really a big issue.

Any help would be great, thanks.

A dealers might be able to verify some history if you provide a chassis number - it would have been main dealer for so long.

Also you may want to give it an RAC vehicle check or get someone to check it out for you.

Just called a bmw dealership and even though they have never delt with the car they told me the last time it was in a bmw garage for a service was 1996! Ten years ago, i cant believe that, they also said it was a 1990 but its advertised as a '91, this could be a genuine mistake on the sellers behalf but it still sounds a bit odd, think i'll give this one a miss.

Thanks for your help.
