Quite a few, some even get crashed into the armco and do €17k worth of damage to the car and €4k worth of damage to the armco, you dont get the car back until you pay for the armco.
Thats why you should pay full insurance, with your €100 excess, the rent a company have to pay the €4k to the ring before they get the damaged car back.
And you pay the rental company €100, and ask them to send another car to your hotel as soon as possible.

Cool. How did the 530d perform around the 'Ring? And how much did it cost to hire?

The 530D performed very well around the ring I had a touring and my mate had a saloon, with full insurance which includes a €100excess, it was €384 for 4 full days.
You can get cheaper cars like a 3 series for €100 for the weekend, or a Z4 for around €450.
Last Easter I got an SLK, which was good for kicking the tail out
