Hi guys, anyone use the Immobiliser function on the computer, looks kinda cool to have a code to start the car.

Is this easily bypassed by a theif, or more importantly is it reliable, am a bit worried about using a 12 year old computer to lock the motor up!

Also, anyone here use  BMW WIse in the high street of Bexleyheath, they are my local indy and was gonna get them to check my steering out.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I use my code immobiliser even when it's locked up in the garage (I'll make the buggers work for it!)

I don't know how effective it is but like all these alarms, immobilisers and trackers if a professional car thief wants your car for stealing to export or strip it's as good as gone

It's more of a deterrent to joyriders

Yeah, I think I will start using mine.

I'll be posting on here in a week or so locked out of the motor, I can see it now!! hehehehe.

Went to BMWise in bexleyheath today, talked to the chap behind the counter, he was very polite and inspired confidence!

Taking my machine in for a leak test on the A/C system, they charge £43 an hour for labour (I assume + vat) so they are pretty expensive, but Ill give them a go and let you know how I get on.
