does anyone know if lowering springs from an E36 318 would fit on my car. there's a newish set locally with GRFS and the money wouldn't make you sweat. i'm really only concerned about the front pair.

Front springs on a 6 cylinder are stiffer than 4 cylinder springs due to the extra weight in the engine, so I wouldn't bother.

how much lower than standard are the m-tech springs? i'm only trying to squeeze the wheel arches down a little- i'm not trying to slam the car. any idea how much they'd cost? would otto have them????

I'm not sure how much lower they are, they would probably just make the car look as low as a standard coupe. I don't think otto have the m-tac ones. I think there is some-one on e36coupe.com selling a set of m-tec springs for a saloon.

The m tech springs are 10mm lower than standard, but this would not apply if you fitted those 318 springs, you need springs for a 6 pot. The 4 pot springs will not only make the car lower which is what you might only worry about, but they will make it handle very badly, & you will regret ever putting them on. Edited by ally |
