Luke like the last VIP day I was on, I will probably go down in the morning and see what its like then decide on whether to do the afternoon or not.  That will depend on tyre condition, my general feeling about the mornings proceedings (you don't always know whether you will be in the mood for this or not.....on sunday, if I hadnt used a full tank of fuel I would have kept going forever) and whether the driving standards of the participants have been up to scratch.

It has to be pre booked Luke.  You might have mis-understood me.  I will prebook the morning session and then decide whether to do the afternoon or not.

Best thing to do if you are worried is to call Ian at mondello and ask him what the standard of cars is like.  The more "good" cars there are, the more likely you are to be out in a group with people who will take a lot of care.

I think theres a fair chance of a big group of decent cars though cos the last public session I attended, a lot of the guys from irishperformancecars.com were there and they are all pretty experienced drivers.  I would have no issue with going out with them.

Myself and EoinO will be bringing up the e30 325 track car to this alright. Not sure whether we will be doing the morning or afternoon session though.

Probably morning.

On the way up to Mondello, the voltage regulator in my alternator went nuts and over charged my battery, by the time i got to Mondello the battery was very swollen extremely hot, steam/ fumes gushing from the overflow pipe and acid in my boot, I was lucky it didn't catch fire.

Thats terrible Beemerboy. You were lucky though. A battery fire is usually unstopable. What car do you have?

@ Beemerboy - dose on the battery and the missed tracktime!! But as always it could be worse... Was it still on its original one? I can't remember - never had to go near it bar to check all the terminals were clean etc..

@ Flying Alex - how'd you find the M3 around there? Brakes, balance, power etc..

Hi T.J. The car was great but can't really compare it to anything because of the weather. I got a 2:23 lap time on one lap. Couldn't really test the brakes either because the ABS kept kicking in. The car felt great in the corners and the seats really hold you in. I did learn a few things though. Hopefully the next BDD will be dry.

Oh and the power was great. It was nice to be able to keep up with everything on the straights.

IIRC your z3 was no slouch either, seem to remember having to pull over for it on the last bdd.

No, that car had no real power. The fact that I was faster was purely down to my incredible driving skill.  Seriously though the Z3 felt pretty quick on the road but felt like it had nothing on the track. The M3 has so much torque it just pins you to your seat. You'll have to drive it a bit on the Galway weekend. (I doubt you'll pick up any penalty points).
