......to turn the stereo down from 11/10 just cos you want to listen to the engine, even when you're not worried about a funny noise?

Why not record the sound of the engine and play that on your stereo, then you can listen at any level you like. Doing this while parked has the added bonus of saving you pounds on fuel

Hmm...Maybe I need help!

Another good tip, to aid restful sleep is to simply burn a CD of your engine ticking over and listen at a moderate level while you drift off into pleasant motoring dreams (don't forget to hit the repeat play button).

      get the grinders out and cut your roofs off !!!  that way you wont have too lean out the window to REALLY hear it ,  my missus thinks i have the roof down cos im a poser .  if she new it was to hear the zaust howling i think she.d be moving back to her mums !!!!!    BLOODY GOOD IDEA THAT !!  il tell her in the morning ..
