Pentium 4 3Ghz with 2GB of ram  Perhaps some of you need a hardware upgrade. This is 2007 you know

Exactly! Why should we have to shell out to upgrade a perfectly good PC just because murcosfot introduce new programs?

you don't have to be at the bleeding edge, microsoft seems very reasonable in the amount of time that they will support and patch "old" programs

Well my PC is comming up to two years old, so it's hardly cutting edge and I upgraded the RAM myself at a cost of £100. You don't have to shell out, just don't install IE7 if you pc dates from Roman times

Ah, but there you're wrong. Some companies realise how superior Vinyl is over CD, so are also releasing in that media

Oh yes, I just love playing vinyl in my car, not to mention my personal record player.

Vinyl may have certain sound benefits over cd but in order to get better sound from a record you need to spend 10 times as much on a turntable than you do on a CD player.

If your too tight to buy a new PC I can hardly see you splashing out £1500+ on a turntable.

Don't you still have a wind up gramaphone

Next you'll be complaining that you can't get 78s any more

Silly person, can't play Vinyl in your car - no point in trying to listen to anything good in your car - acoustics and all that

Don't see a problem with that

I've been using IE7 for about a week now and have had no problems at all.  It takes some getting used to, but the Tabs feature is much better (and is the QuickView for all open Tabs).  It was a very swift install too.

For the record, IE7 installed itself earlier in the week on my PC.

It actually runs OK, and the use of tabbed pages is just like Opera....

I used to use Netscape all the time, as for IE7 - well, it wont work on my desktop. Have Firefox and Konqueror, think I can get Opera as well if I wanted.
Well, that's what you get with Ubuntu. The latest Linux mag has a full version of Suse on the dvd so I might have to get a copy and try that one as well.
Ah, choices choices (and for those who want to keep windoze you can always duel boot)
