Has anyone fitted angel eyes to their E46 with the Xenon lights?

Is it a case of getting an angel eye xenon unit and swopping over the headlight units or do you have to go chopping apart your existing xenon headlight units to fit the xenon bits to the angel eye units?

Are they easy to fit? I presume they go into the existing light units?

I might drop into them next weekend if I get a chance, I am more keen to get one of my xenons working again as I have a new ignitor and ballast to go into the unit, hopfully that will solve things.
