For those who were un-able to attend, here is a brief out-line of the main points discussed at the AGM.

The meeting was chaired by Alan Kirkaldy - one of the directors of the BMW Car Club GB.

Paul Sharp was voted in as the new region Chairman.

Mandy Williams was voted in as the region secretary.

Gareth Williams was voted in as the regions events co-ordinator.

No other members put forward a desire to be on the comittee.

A brief out-line of the points discussed as follows:

  • Arranging club stands at Motorsports events.
  • Supply of number plate covers (EAR Region) for events
  • Local branch meetings ie per county rather than entire region.
  • Possible club stand at Police Gala on 2.9.07
  • More "Family" orientated events.
  • Getting the longtime members back involved in events.
  • Arranging a treasure hunt or similar event.
  • Avoiding convoy style travelling so as not to upset general public.
  • Getting a letter out to all EAR members to update interest.
  • Flag, flagpole and awning for use at meetings.

If anyone who wasn't able to make it to the AGM, but would like to make a comment, please either post it here or contact Paul, myself or Gareth (Gareth is currently available through me,but will register his own signature if you wish to PM him next week) or if any of you wish to become a comittee member, please come and see us at the meet in Thetford on 29.4.07 - see separate post for details.

Thanks & Regards
