Well guys I got a wee e-mail from Graham asking for urgent halp with his 7 as he was leaving the country soon!!( Good luck to you son!!)  And i was only happy to oblige, (had to skive a day off work too but shhh!!lol.)

Anyway, Graham arrived early so I gave it the usuall treatment of

Foamed with Meguiars APC(All Purpose Cleaner) and the Two bucket wash method then dried with a waffle towel.

Sonus Green Clay, Meguiars Last touch as lube. Removed a fair amount of contaminants from the roof and bottom of the doors.

Didn't manage to get any before pics due to time and weather AGAIN!!lol.

Polished with Menzerna IP and FPII. Then finished with Poorboys Natty's Blue Wax.

Fancy Beading pics!!

Cheer for looking!!

I have to say I was one of the heathens that thought that you just washed cars with a bit of fairy liquid and that sponge thats been liying in the shed for the last 3 years.

I was blown away with the finish paul has achieved all the swirrel marks are gone! the pictures don't really do it justice as the rain was off and on all day and the clouds never really went away. If there's any sunlight today (fingers crossed) I'll post up a picture.

Also Paul is due for a VC for spending 9 hours on my car in piss poor conditions - HERO, HERO.

Best pic is number 3 - me hard at work.

Forgive my ignorance but whats' the two bucket wash method?

One for clean soapy water and one for rinsing the sponge?

I polished my car up there a while ago with SnapSeal, and I got beading just like that all over my car when it rained. Is this normal or did I balls it up?

Nope this is normal when you polish a car, it means the wax/polish is working and repelling the rain water.

Paul

Nice results.

Did you use a machine to remove the swirl marks?  If so what type?

Paul

I am thinking about buying a PC but I might hold off of Meguiars are going to launch a 230V one, saves buying a 230/110V transformer.

I suspected that you used a machine.  I have been doing a bit of research into machine polishers.

I got a really deep shine to the boot lid of my E39 last Saturday using the Megs 3 step clean, polish and wax.  Still has a few minor swirl marks though, I know I need a machine to fully remove them.

Thanks for the info Paul.
