In case anyone is interested, we took 15 or so cars to Cars in the Park yesterday (Bolton Abbey near Skipton).

If you want to see the pictures you can access them as a guest on the link below (you don't need to register).  There are over 200 pictures.

A good day all in all, though the lack of more Ferrari's (only 1 x F430) and Lamborghini's (only 1 x Jalpa and no-show from the Lamborghini Club) was a disappointment.  There was another old Fezza, but it was very obviously a restoration project and nothing to get too excited about.

There was a very nice original M6 there mind you, and a couple of other Beemers in the form of my car and a Z4 3.0i.  There was also an M3 Cab on the outskirts of the park.

The weather held out nicely and that was just as well because we had people driving from as far afield as Watford and Glasgow - so rain like last year would have made the day rather forlorn for them!

TotalTorque.Net - TotalGalleries link (see Cars in the Park below Meets section)

We might do another run for the October Cars in the Park event.  I'll let people know on here when the time comes around in case anyone is interested, or sign up to see the Meets & Events section (I'll still post it on here anyway).

There were no real comedy events on this one, other than a duck trying to steal one of our guys sandwiches.  No pork pies.

It was a decent showing, but as I said above the lack of Italian exotica did take the edge of it slightly.

I'm tired of seeing TVR after TVR and more VX220's then you could wave a stick at.  There were some interesting cars though and the weather was good (as opposed to last year when it was a wash-out).

You pay £5.50 to get into the grounds and then just amble amongst the cars.  It's a 2 hour drive, but a relatively easy and problem free one.:ta:

If I know you were there I would have introduced myself!

Thats our maiden voyage in the M roadster.

You're bang on with the VX/Elise/TVR though!

A very nice M6 though.

Z3M Roadster (gone....just...but not forgotten...yet)
E30 M3 (Toy)
Alfa 147 (just gone)
BMW 330d (new work horse)
Daimler Double 6 (no idea yet)

Ah, so that was you!

We might be doing another trip there for the October event, but much will depend on whether or not they can get a more varied line up next time.  We reckon our group accounted for about a sixth of the cars there, but we found the whole event VERY biased towards the TVR/VX220/Lotus groups.
