The EuroDrift Pro Am Championship is coming to Chepstow Racecourse on 7th July. This is the first event of its kind in Wales. Drifters from all across the UK will be competing in this event which makes for an action packed day.

 

Entry prices are as follows:

 

Adult £10

Under 16s £7

Under 11s Free

 

A limited number of car clubs have the opportunity to display inside the racecourse on the day. These clubs will also be able to take advantage of a reduced rate entry price (50% off) and a 10% discount voucher for DriftSkool sessions on the day. To guarantee your advanced bookings they will need to be received before 5pm on 3 July 2007. Any bookings received after that date will have to be returned. Group bookings are welcomed. Paypal payments can be sent to payments@msw.uk.com Please ensure that your full postal address is given and that you make reference to your car club and “EuroDrift Chepstow” as part of your payment.

 

Gates will open at 9am. Further entertainment includes local car club displays from across Wales and the chance to get behind the wheel of a fully prepared DriftSkool vehicle for an interactive drift session with a qualified tutor. (Thanks to http://www.driftskool.co.uk/ ) The drift sessions will run throughout the day and cost just £20 per person! Limited advanced bookings are available on request.

Further update to the post above...

 

The main entry gates at Chepstow will open to the public at 10am.

 

The public car park (which is signposted) is opposite the main gates, there is an underpass situated there that must be used by ALL pedestrian public, the local traffic police have insisted that public are not allowed to cross the main road for safety reasons.

All pre paid ticket holders should show the ticket to the gate staff upon entry.

 

Pre-paid Car Club cars ONLY can enter into the racecourse through St Arvans Gate - pass the main gates on your right hand side, St Arvans Gate is the next entry gate on the right.

 

The event goes on to approx 21:00 (see timetable below) entry for Car Club cars to the event will be permitted up to 17:45. this is just prior to the start of the Amateur Best 8. 

 

Timetable for Round 5 Chepstow

 

10:00 - Gates Open

10:00 - Open Practice

14:00 - Open Practice Ends

14:05 - Amateur/Pro Briefing

15:30 - Amateur Qualifying

16:30 - Pro Qualifying

17:30 - Qualifying Session Ends

17:35 - Drivers Briefing

17:50 - Amateur Best 8

18:50 - Pro Best 16 Tsuiso (Twin Battle)

19:50 - Amateur Best 4

20:10 - Pro Best 4 Tsuiso (Twin Battle)

20:30 - Prize Giving

 

We are pleased to announce that Dan Joyce (of Dirty Sanchez and MTV fame) and Shane Lynch (from Boyzone) are two of the confirmed competitors for this event in both Pro and Amatuer rounds. The day will also be recorded by Sky Sports for broadcasting later on in the year.

Round 5 is attracting a great deal of interest from all across the drifting and car club community so why not come along and be a part of it?

 

Please Note - All those who are wishing to take part in a DriftSkool Session must bring along their photocard driving license as you will not be able to take part without it.

Not to worry, hope you enjoy your day at silverstone :) I look forward to reading a review ;)

The next Chepstow round is in September so hopefully you wont have any other club meets on and we'll see you there. I'll post up further details for you closer to the time.
