Seat Staining??

   My 1999 323SE (E46) has developed what appears to be water marks on the Anthracite cloth seats. When I purchased the car 2 years ago they weren't that visible but over time they have got worse.
I have tried various cleaners to no effect.
Any ideas on how to get rid of them will be appreciated
