another car phone query

   I have the standard bmw phone installed. Car is e30 540i. I also have a nokia ck-7w bluetooth wireless car kit given to me.

The bmw is a gsm one, I am on orange, I understand vodaphone and cellnet were gsm bands, are they still?

If I moved over to O2 or vodaphone today and had a suitable (credit card size)sim adapter to fit the phone, would the phone then work or are they now obsolete?

Alternatively is it possible to integrate the nokia ck-7w in with the current system to use it handsfree with all the options like accessing phone memory etc?
