Hi , i am thinking of buying a 540 touring of approx year 1998 /9/   .Please can anyone give me any information as things to look out for and what extras are worth having. The car i could be going to view has approx 90k on the clock and has a full service history. I have not had a bmw before as i have only had fords and vauxhall. The car i now have is a Mondeo ST24 with leather. Thanks for all your help from Voodoo2

How did u get on, did u buy it. I just got a 99 528 Tourer with 77k on clock, its a fantastic car to drive after my 96 318i.

I am still looking so far and would like to get one with sat nav , tv etc so i am not in a rush but cant wait to get one .
