Today, I paid for my car to be properly detailed.  Despite the fact I give it lots of attention in respect of cleaning it, I confess to having visited a local hand-wash place over recent weeks.  This resulted in some of the worst swirls known to mankind and sleepless nights as I thought of the pain I'd inflicted on the car.

So, I called a fella from our forums and Detailing World, and over six and a half hours later the job was done.

The process was (forgive me if I've missed something out):

Foam soak, Wheel clean/brush, Wash, Dry, Clay, Masking off car plastics/chrome, Machine correct swirls, Machine polish, Zymol Wax, Wheel polish and seal, Exhaust polish, Glass polish

All the pictures are viewable at the link below (I was going to post them all in here but there are 19!).  You don't need to be registered to view them, all are accessible as a Guest.

I can't see the pics for some reason.  Have they been removed from the hosting site?

Nope.  I've just had a look myself as an unregistered user and could see them fine.  They're not on a hosting site - they're on the forums own server.

However, I've thrown them onto Photobucket and shown them below so anyone having issues can see them without having to register.

Zymol Ebony

Despite it being designed for black, the wax suits Stratos Grey incredibly well.  It was going to be Collinite Concours D'Elegance followed by Zymol Titanium to give it a longer lasting winter cover - but Ebony enhances the deep shine so much that shine won over longevity.

Ah well they didn't have to touch the exhausts - I keep those like that all the time.   I carry a tub of Megs NXT metal polish, cotton polishing cloth and a few micro fibres in the boot at all times....and unfortunately I'm not joking.
