hi all, looks like i,m going to have to sell my 92, K, black,525ix se touring. it's an auto with full leather, with 150k miles, mot till dec 08, tax till end mar 08. fsh, oil & filter service lights just on. if i keep this wonderfull machine it will end up like a skip, being such a rare beast that would be such a shame. but as i work 40 miles away, on a building site, you can see why the miles and surroundings will soon have effect. i really need a diesel for work and would like an old morris minor for the weekend jaunts. have not seen many for sale, and not seen any price guides for this rare model.but would like to know what it is worth so can advertise it fairly, thanks for any help recieved ian.

hey Rhys, cheers for that, must be in a garage that one, seems very expensive, especially for saloon, with cloth etc. but it's the rarity value now i suppose. future classic car, and have heard on some forums that there were only 10,000 4x4 cars made, most were 3 series, and nearly all were left hand drive. only about 80 r.h.d. cars made it to uk officially, but cant get this confirmed. does anybody out there know any better.

Another thing I think to consider is the expense if anything goes wrong with the 4wd system. Rarity in this case means expensive - where can you get the parts from?

This might put anyone but a collector or serious enthusiast off, just my opinion.

been looking round through lots of ads, prices seem to vary between 900 up to 1700 this is including saloons, with cloth interior,no tax ,bit of test. at the lower end, and tourings with leather and fsh. similar to mine, so as mine is the touring se model, would price it around the 1300 area, but it's wanting it's oil service, to keep fsh up to date, 100, couple bits of paint bubbles sorting, nothing serious tho, 100 . given these bits to do, ---edited to comply with forum rules--- thanks for your looking at my article. ian

have also found quite a few ix being broken for parts, rarity might mean expensive, but anything is available if you just search the net, might need to get from abroad, but these days, that might be quicker than somewhere in this country, if things i have bought on ebay are anything to go by, ha ha.
