This section of the forum could do with some life!

Found this car in a bodyshop after chatting to the owner, it had been stood around for just over 2 years gathering dust. Long story short, made him a silly offer, he accepted it, and it's now in my garage.

Car is a 1989 325i Sport in Diamond Black, has just passed 100k on the clock, full service history, and has loads of receipts to back up the mileage.

Car does have some faults, it's had a slight bump on the front (just a front panel) rear arches are rusty, rear panel is rusty, and the scuttle has started showing signs of the tin worm too.

Also on the lookout for a rocker cover, and a front strut brace.[/P

Some rust behind number plate and around the plate lights..

Scuttle starting to show rust...

Interior that's going to need some attention..

Only rust I could find, and it seems to be surface..

If only the same could be said about the rear arch, note the perfect line where the bodykit ends...

Still in the process of stripping at the moment, found that it still has the original Hartge shocks on the rear...

Fronts seem to be bilstein, haven't pulled them out yet though..

Hartge 180mph speedo

Glad they are the originals, they will be visiting Bilstein for a rebuild eventually.

Exhaust is a concern, someone has fitted that silly flexi pipe to make up the section between the manifold and the centre box.

Still got the Hartge rear strut brace...

Managed to remove the rear badges undamaged too..

have you spoken to Kevn @Birds who were(??) Hartge agents for UK??

nice project given the E30's 25th anniversary year!!

keep us posted

Hi, yes I've spoken to Kevin at Birds, he couldn't really give me that much information about the car other than that they have a record for the engine build. I believe from reading on other forums, etc that they lost a lot of information a while back.

The car will be rebuilt as per original, where possible! I will even be sending the dampers back to bilstein for a rebuild to original standard. be nice to keep the originals with the stamping.
