I'll agree that the e36 (somewhere at the start of this thread) does indeed look very clean and you can see by the pics the quality of the work done on it.

£18 an hour doesn't sound expensive when the local BM dealer is charging £97 plus vat per hour for labour!

My car would definitely benefit from this type of paint correction but I need to get some bits painted before that could happen.

I suppose it kind of depends on the value of the car as well, your not gonna splash out £500 on a £1000 turd!

just my tuppence worth!

This forum is great wish i had registered before !!

I would like to thank Pete for introducing me to Polished  Bliss.

I would like to thank Clark for doing my car last week, regardless what anyone thinks i think it was Value for Money...........

Thanks for the comments, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I am very happy with my Shiny Red E36.

Definetely would recommend Clark and Richard at Polished Bliss, if you seen the work that goes into detailing you would agree that is is worth every penny!!!!!!!

Alex

I really feel for Alex and the way this thread has been hijacked. If this thread showed my car in this condition I'd take the comments personally and would not be impressed with the forum in itself.

I agree 100% with you Cambell   We are a PUBLIC forum & this "bicker" type posting ( which i see becoming more & more prevalent !!! ) can only harm the forum & chase people away in my opinion.

I also saw Alex car Yesterday & agree with Pete & yourself it is a very good example of an E36 whether it has been "Professionally " cleaned or not  ( i hope mine looks that good at that age !!!)

Having spoken to Alex myself yesterday he feels that the people at "Polished Bliss" are  giving him a good service & at the end of the day that is all that count's ,if the customer is satisfied with the product .

I'm sure they did not "Detail" his car then drop the price on him ?

Sorry guys totally disagree. This is a discussion forum cecottos/pits views are valid to be aired like anyone elses. No point in a sanatised forum

Alex - Nice motor. Saw it in the flesh and was impressed.

Clark - Welcome and good work. Not sure i'd have paid that on a car of that value but hey thats part of being an enthusiast!

PS this is the best thread on ere in ages

I certainly made no personal comments, let alone "attacks" - I did make a general comment about "a load of sanctimonious old guff", but my position is clearly stated above.  Paraphrased, it is "Great looking car.  It wouldn't be my favoured way of spending £1150."

Hmmm o.k. so not Towbar.

I like the front shot of yours K with the deep dark blue and the angel eyes.

I miss my Baritz Blue E39, I got that to shine really deeply.

Was begining to work on the Silver E60 before it dissapeared.

I think I would rather have a deep dark colour of car so that the shine looks lovely and deep.  Mibbie the next one will be a dark coloured one, if I ever get an insurance payout.....

The kit is an ACSchnitzer kit made for the early 5 series before all the bm sport stuff came out. The 'profile' of the rear bumper was ACS's take on a diffuser.

Hope this clarifies.

Great thread, well sort of...

Only just read this, I think some of you guys missed the question marks in the title, I have seen the car and yes maybe it would not win a concours event and unless you are completely 4n4l about this it is one of the best standard original E36's I have seen and the work Clark did made it even better.

Clark, hope you are still posting on here and when you do my BM I hope you will post the turn around on here, or at least give me th photos so I can!!!
