I have ordered an M3 spoiler with LED brake light for my 1993 E36 4dr, and I was just wondering how it will be wired to my brake light?

I know it will come with all the fittings and instructions, but I would just like to know before hand.

Will any new holes apart from the mounting holes need to be drilled, or will the wire be fed through the existing grommit, although I can't see how that is possible?

Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me with their experiences.

Cheers

Not experienced this before but can only presume that the extra brake light will just be T'd into the rear cluster. As for the wires again I would presume that they will go through the spoiler hole.

Then again I could be barking

Wires go down one side through a hole that I think will need to be drilled into the bootlid. Connection I think is in the rear light cluster.
Gentlemen I may not have a brain but I do have an idea

The wiring for the brake light is usually fed through the existing grommet in the boot lid near the hinge and is spliced into the wiring for the third brakelight in the rear screen, which is normally disconnected as it is no longer needed.
