very slow 520i

   Hi all we have just got a bmw 520i 24v auto 1995 n reg. its very slow all through the range. i do know these cars are not that fast as in the 525 which my dads has goes very well. but the 520i is just so slow i do know my way around cars.  any ideas what you guys think might be wrong with the  car.         &n bsp;

 ps. full bmw history 100k one doctor owner lots of bills we paid 1500 which we think was a good price

	Give a good service change plugs filters all including fuel new oil the 24v should have a bit of poke try changing gearbox oil as well sounds like it needs a good thrashing prob not driven that hard

	Or you're probably right mate...they are no movers!!!! At least you're not in a 518i which I believe my transporter could even beat.

	The 520i is no rocket at low rpm, but it should fairly haul if you rev it, if it is slow throughout the rev range something is certainly amiss.
