No. At the first road tax renewal the owners of cars registered between Jan 1 2008 and June 30th 2008 will have the option of having their car taxed under the new scheme IF it is advantageous to them. If its not, then they will continue to be taxed under the old regime. I'm guessing that not many M3 or 997 owners will opt to change over to the new regime. |

Thats crazy, GT2s and M3s aside most new petrol cars sold since Jan will be reverting to the old tax system if thats the case. If you had paid a yrs tax on say a new 320d in Jan then the revenu should refund you the difference from July under these rules. |
