    Posted: 02-April-2008 at 20:43

Hi All, it would be fair to say that i am probably one of the worst people for cleaning my car. But at the weekend i decided it was time to try all this malarky !!!! So i purchased myself a Meguirs Clay Bar Kit and Meguirs Deep Crystal Polish and Wax.

Gave it all a go on Sunday, and after about 10 hours of work and on seeing the finished article that i am now a converted valet enthusiast.

But the main reason for this topic is to ask everyone for their opinion on what is the best product for cleaning my cream leather. I have tried BMW's own leather care kit but (i might get sacked for saying this) Its not very good.

So recommend away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris

Frost Auto Restoration Tools or FART as they're known - to be fair, I think they changed their name, but they were definitely FART when they opened - are here:-www.frost.co.uk. Brilliant site.

I'm sad to say I have used these people too and had superb service from them.  They're not the cheapest, but they do a great job :- http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/.

I hate you guuuuuys

I like BMW's own cleaner for black leather.  But for cream its not very good.

Give the leather a clean with some all Purpose Cleaner to take some of the grime off of it.  The problem with using the creams is that you are just spreading the dirt around when you use it.  You must clean the leather first and then apply the cream.

Try the Zymol leather cleaner and treatment.  They are pretty good.  available from halfrauds.

I misread this at first and somehow substituted 'lingering' with 'lingerie'...

ROTFL it's been a long day at the office... (especially trying to remember F1 team names)
