Probably less than you think; I changed pads and fluid recently and ran 0.5 liter of brake fluid through the system (divided into four equal parts as I bled each corner, if you get my drift); brake fluid is also not very expensive (and mine even said BMW on the tin!).

Get 1L just to be sure - the last thing you want is to find that you have run short whilst using a small bottle and has already been said, its not that expensive.
