Good website, probably could do with more reviews.  I see AC get a very good rating and in addtion to the comments from people on this forum, it would seem to be a sound choice for car service.

I've been keeping an eye on some VRT figures of late and spotted something interesting.

In October there was a big month on month drop in the VRT for e46 320i SE saloons.  In November there has been a big month on month drop in e46 325i SE saloon VRT figures.  What it means is that there is now a huge gap between these figures and the e46 330i SE.

In hard figures for example with a '01 example the VRT on a 330i is a multiple of ~4.25 times that of a 325i.  On a 330i/320i comparison the multiple is ~ 2.75.  What it also means is that VRT on a 325i is significantly less than an equivalent 320i.

If you want an e46 3 series saloon then it looks like the 325i is the pick of the bunch, with lower VRT than any other engine option in the e46, including the 320d, regardless of co2 category.

Now: BMW 523i SE '00, 318i SE - e91 '07, 325i Coupe '93.

Prev:
e46 328i SE Touring, 330Ci, 318Ci.
e39 523i SE.
e36 325i Coupe *2, 323i SE, 316iSE.
e30 325iSE 2dr, 320i Conv, 320i 2dr, 316i.

I recently bought a 325i e30 in the north and have been to the vrt office twice. The first time i was told that i had to find out the emissions for my car as they didnt have them otherwise id be charged in the highest bracket, and was given a quotation of around €1300. I went home printed off 2 different prices from the ros service for vrt for a 325i and for a 325i SE which included the co2 emissions and brought them back into the vrt office only to be told this time that my car on the logbook is down as a sport and that they couldn't find "SPORT" on their system. They now tell me that my car might have to be classed as a classic collectable, even though i cant tax or insure my car as a classic as it is only a 1990 and that they have to contact sumwhere in rosslare to find a price and that i will possibly have to bring the car over having previously been told that i didn't!!! Its a complete joke they can make up whatever figures they like.  Is it any wonder this country is in a recession.
