"BMW drivers are the worst on the road, according to a poll of 21,000 motorists.

They were followed by those behind the wheel of luxury makes Subaru, Mercedes, Land Rover and Porsche.

Those quizzed named old people as the biggest danger on the road.

Boy racers were second, followed by white van men, cabbies and bus drivers.

The survey for Auto Trader magazine also learned Sundays are the worst day for motoring, then rush hour and the school run.

And women were seen as dodgier behind the wheel than men. "

 

So, if, on a Sunday, you see a BMW driven by an old woman, don't say you haven't been warned

Anyone who drives a Renault Megane or upwards in the range or a Citroen of any description should be treated with the deepest amount of suspicion as to what they will do next on the road.

Passat drivers are worse than BM drivers any day.

So it's purley subjective opinion then.

Funny how all the the cars mentioned are expensive makes. I wonder if it has anything to do with the green eyed monster

I think there's an camaraderie among BMW drivers, perhaps as a result of that myth that has drawn us together .  Siege mentality!!

For example when driving my car other drivers will let me out at junctions.  The most courteous drivers to me are other BMW drivers and of course Im the same.   

[Im not suggesting for a minute were are as insular as Morgan drivers who, on seeing another Morgan, will all but get out their cars for tea, scones and a quick club cuddle!! ] 

When I drive my wifes car, a non-descript Fiesta, I could wait forever and still be waiting  [until I came along obviously ].

I think other drivers see this solidarity between BMW drivers and are just plain jealous.

The alternative is they are too stupid to think for themselves.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BTW I bought a 42 LCD telly last week and a Wii!!  Absolutely nothing to do with this thread except Ive done my back in and am looking for considerable amounts of camaraderie sympathy .

Well, Silver Van Man (silver is the new white apparently). But I can live up to the title as well if someone really annoys me on the road (usually push bikes, private hires and buses tend to do this). All other times I'm easy going.
