Hi my 523i is idling all over the place and when she is idling really low or left to tick over the oil light comes onit goes out as soon as you press on the throttle just a little. oil level is fine no noises from the engine any ideas thanks

Welcome to the forum Matthew.
By the sounds of it, you would probably need a proper diagnosis on the car. it could be a sensor or something or even a vacuum leak but its hard to guess.

There's nothing wrong with the engine itself, it's just at 4/500 rpm there
isn't quite enough oil pressure to put the light out.
It could be a million things but if the car otherwise drives okay it could
well be a blocked cyclone cannister or one of its breather hoses. What
happens when you remove the oil filler cap when the engine is running?

At least being a 523i it might be the earlier (N/P/R reg) ones with the
single vanos engine - they aren't too bad to change. The later ones are a
right cow!
I don't have a carbon footprint. I drive everywhere.
