Hi,

Anybody have a Bosch 0261 200 061 motronics ECU for my 1987 BMW 635 CSI (E24). The unit hangs beneath the dash above your right knee as you sit in the drivers seat.

My car has died and its been established that the motronic ECU is at fault. I've done all the usual soldering tricks but the unit has a fault and I've been advised that it will be difficult to fix.

Many thanks in advance,

Dave

Its been sent away and is beyond repair and refurb, I've tried all of this! A replacement is the only way to go

Best bet would be a breakers. A similar age E32 735 would work too. I assume you have the big plastic bumper Highline. If so, the E34 535 probably won't do as it only had 211bhp instead of your 220bhp although you could chip it.

If you have a chrome bumper model then the E28 535 would work.

Try FritzBitz, FAB, Quarry etc.

I've posted links to breakers on our club website www.bmwclubne.co.uk
