Hi all,

I have not been on the forum for a few years - been playing around with
Mk2 Golf Gti's. Sorry..

Still got my Sport evo :0)

Anyone know what these wheels are? Can you fit centre caps to them?

Not sure if they are BBS RS, the basket weave and wheel centre does not look 'right' for a BBS RS.

EDIT; These look to be the same wheels.......

Those ACR wheels are BBS RS replicas

The only difference to the picture is that someone has removed the cap that covers the bolts and put a shiny cap over the centre hole (probably a polished aluminium ACS one).

I really want a set of the BBS RS wheels for mine with Nogao centres - like
going original BBS..

Can I go 8.5 all round or is 9.5 rear better.

Anyone know the offset - I don want to roll my arches.

Isnt there a guy called Markus who deals/refurbs in these wheels in
germany at a good price?

Has anyone got any pics of a brilliant red car with them fitted?

Have a look through the gallery here, there is a car fitted with 8.5j and 9.5j, but not with Nogaro centres, personally don't like the stretched look and I believe rolled arches will be required.

Easiest way to get in contact with Markus is via www.s14.net or

www.e30-shop.de

Dont like the stretched tyres at all. YUK.

You have the bbs rs wheels on your SE dont you - I have seen some pics on S14.net.

I think I prefer to go 8.5 all round.

I have mailed Markus to ask if he has any pics. He has already given me a price and has some available to start work on.

Yes, they are 8jx17 ET40 with Nogaro centres, 215/40 front and 235/40 rear with 20mm hubcentric spacer.

Looks very good

ET40 with 20mm spacers (ET20). Why did you go with this fitment? From what I have found out so far these are normally et13. I guess you have 7mm more clearance on the outside but 20mm spacers are quite big...

Wheels and spacers came with the car, but the 16" rims from the 5  series can be used on our cars, they have a ET of 20 instead of the 27 that the OE wheels have on our cars and the result is to push the wheels out further towards the wings, the 5 series wheel is 7.5jx16 (as per our stock 16's)my wheels are 8jx17 so they are not hugely bigger than standard.

I believe if your going for staggered wheels in 8.5j/9.5j width then the ET would need to be lower, in the 15-13 range to push the wheel further out to get clearence on the inner wing as per the red car in the gallery link above, the rear wheel rim sticks out further than the line of the wing.

I'd say they were BBS RC's with the centre caps missing.

I can personally recommend Wolf's wheels (www.wokke.de) as I had a set of RC's from him for my M3 Touring.

Markus has advised me that BBS RS's only came ET13. So ET13 it is..

I have a number of pics to look at now need to make my mind up whether i go for it or not.

Heres a pic of a Red Sport Evo with them fitted:

Those rims in the original post are definitely BBS RC 090.

The car in the picture belongs to a friend and it looks like it was taken at Gaydon this year. The rims were stripped and the centres powder coated Gold. The rims were polished up. They are 8J all round with ET20.

The BBS RCs from the E34 need to be run with hubcentric rings, E28 go straight on, both will be 8J all round.

Staggered ones (8J and 9J) usually come from the 8 series, which will also fit without the need for hubcentric rings.

This is picture is mine with BBS RC090s 8J all round, Negaro centres and Bright Silver painted rims:

I have a set of MK's 17x8.5 with polished lips.

Never fitted since they have been polished and from Marcus too.
