If the red service indicator is illuminated on your car it means the service interval is overdue.

The three items that do not work are all on seperate circuits/fuses, so will not have a common relay, does your sunroof work (if it's electric)?

Just to clarify, the service lights on your car are five green two amber and one red, are you saying that the red service light is coming on intermitently?

If that is what is hapening then I would think that the car has a problem with either the battery's that power the service lights or there is a problem with the Si board of the clocks.

May be take a picture of the red light and post  it up (easiest way for new members is to host it at photobucket or similar and link it to the site) so we can be sure of the light in question.

Electric windows are on fuse #17 30A check that, if that is Ok then ensure the Power Window lock out switch is pushed in (switch forward of the driver side window switch), if it is remove the switch are bridge the two wires that connect to it and then try the windows.

Are the window switches illuminated?

Power mirrors are on fuse #19 7.5A, together with your interior lights so if the lights work then the fuse should be OK, but check/change it to be sure. If the fuse is OK then check the switch on the dor pull, prise it out and ensure it is connected.

Heater is fuse #20 30A, ensure it is Ok, if it is there is a heater resistor which may have failed.

They should do that, from the drivers door also, so you may have a faulty door pin switch on the drivers door.

If the aftermarket alarm was wired in using a lifter module to lift the windows and the module if either faulty or has been removed then these symptoms may occur.

What alarm is it?

Could also be a problem with the ignition live feed to the windows which is why they do not work with the doors shut and the ignition on.

Sounds like lot going on on your cars electrics, my recommendation would be to find a good auto electrician to check through and sort the problems.

Hi, i have experienced an e30 situation of the windows, sunroof, power mirrors and heater blower cutting out at first at will, and then finally ceasing to work completely. it ended up being the wire coming off the starter going to load reduction relays. it was corroded and loose.
