power steering loss

   hi, pulled up outside on my drive earlier, flicked the steering right, and something went clunk, then i lost all power steering, and dry steering on 19's is a bitch so want to get it sorted as soon as. cant see any leaks and the belt is still there so have no other options to believe its a power steering pump, although i haave heard there is a sensor that tells how easy to make the steering that could have caused this, has any had this problem or able to shed light on the prob?? thanks all
