Got to be honest and agree with Peter, Yes, it's a big conversion to drop that plant into an E30 if, as Peter said, you want that kind of potential power but in my case I'm a little bit of a purist and it would be strange to have a Nissan plant in a BMW to be honest. I'm sure they're well researched but not for me either I'm afraid. Rob |

I can understand the attraction of putting the Toyota 3.0 twin turbo engine into any car since the tuning potential is massive. How many other engines can be made to produce in excess of 1000bhp. Trouble is it isn't really a BMW any more is it, and how much power do you really need. I Also one of the best things about BMWs is the engine (the 6 cylinder ones anyway). If I wanted a car with that much power I would start with a Supra or a Skyline in the first place. I do of course admire what the are doing, it's just not for me. |
