Since I upgraded my laptop to Windows 7, I have been using Comodo

So far, so good - it seems to run quietly in the background and doesn't seem to use a lot of resources

I recently swapped from Zone alarm free version to Comodo free version and my PC now only uses about 35% of the memory when idle compared to 45% before.

the problem with all these operating system 'upgrades' is that they add loads of more bells&whistles which need more and more processing power - and may people do not need or want.

if it works for you then fine - i'm waiting for W7-SP10 before changing from good old DOS3.1
