Hi, I'm a new member on my first BM, happens to be a 525e. Yes they do rot but mine is a 1985 year and not that bad. Am told as long as you keep on top of it they're ok but watch area in front of windscreen as if rotten can affect bulkhead, fixable but big job.
I'm finding it nice to run, 2.7 engine not as thirsty as expected. Storage limited compared to my Vauxhall Royale or Volvo's but it's nice to drive. Anything in particular you want to know ask and I'll answer if I can, cheers, Ian
