Hi guys

After a bit of info, we’re coming over to Limerick on Jan 21st for the Munster vs Saints rugby game, staying at the Best Western Hotel, anyone any info on where to eat and drink.

Thanks

Mick

You have a good central location there.  For pubs, you might as well stick to rugby themed pubs.  Gerry Flannery, the Munster player, has a pub on Catherine Street, only a street or two from the hotel.  Also, try Peter Clohessy's down by the river, there's a night club there too, the Sin Bin.

For places to eat, try Hamptons on Henry Street or there are a few restaurants on O'Connell Street, the main street in the city and only a couple of hundred yards from your hotel.  If something like Chinese is your bag, there is a good one on O'Connell Street called the Jasmine Palace.

For any restaurants, I'd recommend booking a table as the rugby weekends can be very busy.  Should be a good buzz though.

If you want any help with phone numbers, PM me.

That's going to be a great weekend. There is always great
craic in Limerick on match weekends... and that's going
to be a big match!

I'd agree with Dergside on those locations. Another good
spot in town for a few pints is Nancy Blake's (known as
Nancy's) - it's on Denmark Street next to a few
niteclubs. It's a late bar and is usually packed on Match
nights.

Thomond Park is the coldest place on the planet, so wrap
up warm and don't forget the hip flask!

Likewise, if I can help in any way, drop me a PM.

Cheers Guys

Looking forward to it the Munster supporters were a great bunch when they came over here so can't wait for the return win or lose I'm sure we'll  have the craic. We arrive on Thursday morning and fly back on Sunday so we'll have a plenty of time to enjoy the city.

Just got home from one of the best weekends I could have wished for your reconmedations were spot on. Inspite of the loss to Munster on Friday Saints still qualified for the knock stages thanks to Leinsters win on Saturday and we've got Musnster again in the quarters so we're coming back in April more Guinness and it's the weekend of my birthady so even more Guinness , everybody was so freindy and we had a great time, Peter Clohessy's is a superb place Oh and Dergside the Jamne Palace is tops .

Thanks again guys, maybe see you over there in April

Good to hear you enjoyed yourself! It was some match- you definitely got your money's worth there!! Met a few Saints supporters in Nancy Blakes last night - had a good laugh with them. They were really enjoying their trip - mad men.

Looking forward to the quarter final. It's going to be a great one. A European quarter final in Thomond Park - there'll be great craic in Limerick that weekend.

Did you make it to any of the league matches on Saturday?

If you come across any spare tickets for the QF, PM me please!!!

Didn't make to any other matches Saturday, still recovering from Friday then went out and did it all again on Saturday . We've booked our hotel for the QF weekend (Dury's Inn).

Not sure how many of our group will be coming over, but if I can get some tickets I will. Don't know yet what allocation we will get per person on the season tickets.

Excellent, Jury's is close to everything.

No pressure re. the tickets - just if you have any mates looking to sell theirs. They were impossible to get for Friday's match - I couldn't get my hands on any! It'll be worse for the QF no doubt.
