It is with regret that I post of the death of one of the guys who had a interest in BMWs and dropped into the forums from time to time. May he rest in peace. He passed away in November but I only found out today.

Shocked to hear that.  A nice man on the occassions when I met him.  Very interested in horse power whether of the equine or mechanical variety.  I noticed his absence here of late but had spotted posts some time back on BMW-Driver so thought nothing more of it.

Sympathy to his family and friends naturally.

That's terrible news and so sorry to hear it. He came up to the last two Paddys day runs. A friendly, amiable person.

Condolences to his friends and family

Shocked to hear this. Really am. I chatted to him a few times by pm, once he was admiring my old 525iS. Sad we have only found out about it now. I guess how quiet this place has gotten recently hasnt helped matters. R.I.P. Lars.

Heard about this in December, very sad to hear. I met him during the summer, and like most people who met him, I found him to be a great guy, very likeable and good humoured.

He let me know he was sick and we talked about it over PM, was very sad to learn he passed away.

May he rest in peace and every sympathy to his family and friends.

I am not a BMW owner but have registered on your forum at the request of the family of Laryzh.

They are very touched by the messages of sympathy posted by members of the forum and would like to thank everybody for their kind remarks.

As a result of the death of Lars Peter they now need to dispose of his BMW and are hoping that some members might give them advice on this matter. For example would it be better to sell via a dealer or try a private sale. Some of you that may have met Lars will know his car and the way that it was maintained.

The BMW is 2002, 318I touring (Estate) 1995cc. Miles 125k. Lots of extras.
Location Limerick city.

Thanking you again and replies by pm will be welcome.

Unfortunately I'm not in the market for another touring at the moment but I work around Limerick and live not too far away.  I met Lars Peter on a couple of occassions and know the car.  If I can be of any assistance, please PM me and I'll try to do whatever I can.

I'm only hearing of this now. I'm stunned!

I am sorry to hear this awful news and as others had said, he will be sorely missed by all on this and other BMW forums. My thoughts are with his family.
