well guys

I bought these wheels when I was over at the BMW show in Gaydon, England last August. They are BBS RS 005 and BBS RS 006. The 005's are 7" while the 006's are 8"

I bought them to put on my BMW E28 and replace the RC090's I had. Now the RC are a great wheel but I felt they just didnt suit the e28.

When I bought them they were in good nick but not great. The previous owner had put in new bolts and polished the lips but to be honest the polish job wasnt great - sorry I have np pix of the before job

So I finally decided to pull the finger out and get them down to Antony aka The WheelDoctor in Tipperary http://www.wheeldoctor.ie/

I have used Anthony twice in the past and find him brilliant at what he does, sound fella to talk to and very reasonable priced. He broke the wheels down, cleaned them up, checked for any buckles and trueness of the wheels which were very good. I also got him to polish up the lips again and paint the centres in BBS gold and reinstall the new bolts. He even put locktite on them all!

I sourced the paint from a BBS dealer in Germany (which was not cheap!!) Unfortunately for me between having the paint too long and not stroing it correctly it went off as its water based. But fair to to Anthony he was able to get a sample and he was able to get a match. Not it wasnt a 100% match but we reckon its probably around 95% match perfect. I also supplied him with brand new Kumho KU31 ECSTA SPORTs.

I collected the wheels today and highly recommend the lad. He did a fantastic job. Havent fitted them yet but hope to do so during the week. Anyways I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

They look really brill Eamo....as new. I must get my own wheels to the wheel doctor but don't have a spare set which makes it a little more difficult! Anyway, your wheels look excellent. Make sure to get a few pics up when you have them on your motor.
