Hi, I have just purchased a 94 540, all was good!!!! It was all fine, but i now have the abs light on, it says check owners manual, which i have done, nothing of any use there. Is it a job for the diagnostic comp or is there anything that i might try. Thanks for taking a look. ![]() Edited by Bumble |

It could be a number of things causing it, most likely a faulty sensor, or in a car of this age perhaps a relay. However, plugging it in to a diag machine with a specialist should help pinpoint the precise part or issue.

I think a wheel bearing might do it too - just my twopennorth. A diagnostic is probably worth it, saves spending money unnecessarily. It's hard at first but find an indy and see if they'll put it on the machine for free or cheaply. Where are you? Someone will know of a place...
