Not exactly a Bimmer issue but as I was having fun last week with a LK 530i on the M8 here goes:
The new M8 Motorway going North, from Fermoy up 'till the Portlaoise junction.  Three times now I have driven it and each time I have developed some type of "tunnel vision syndrome" especially while driving through the many sections where the road is cut into rock and it's as if you are driving through a trench.
The symptoms are: sore eyes, dizziness, complete lack of concentration.
Now I'm a 25K miles a year guy, I know every road in Ireland but this is a new and worrisome development.  I have spoken with one other driver who had to pull on the M8 over due to the same problem.
Before i write to the N.R.A.: Are there any others with similar experience of that road; or do I just need to go back on the smokes?

Interesting observations - I wonder if it is some type of stroboscopic effect or something neural that is affecting visual perception. I wouldn't imagine the proximity of the road sides to be a problem per se, but if you haven't had an eye test in the last 2 years or so, it may be worthwhile ruling anything in that area out before you send any letter.

I have been suffering tiredness of late too... But I put it down to the boredom of the new long stretches of motorway...
Cheers
