does anyone know if a 316 m43 will go in my 518 m43 i know sump must have to swap but don,t know if i may incurr any other problems regards dave

You will more likely get problems with wiring looms, ecu, etc.  Not to mention the paperwork side of things.  New V5, tax, mot, insurance companies,yaddy yaddy ya.

Will a 1.6 unit make an E34 518 move?  Sounds like a lot of car for not a lot of engine?

cheers mate but dont look possible as oil pick up in sump on 316 and on 518 it is on bottom of engine aghhh!
