Cheers for the offer Falkster.

I've got my M3 as my second car and am looking for a daily driver. They have a selection of Lancer Evo 3's and a C36 AMG. Was going to get a Skyline GTR, but not as practical as i need.

Heard anything bad about them that would suggest me keep clear of them?

later

Now I know the garage you mean. A friend of mine has bought a T5 from them recently and hes had no bother.

C36 AMG you shouldnt get any bother from that car anyway. Not too sure about the Lancers though, those ricers arent as reliable as germans and they are usually raped and pillaged by all who drive them.

Looks a nice car. Does have FSH but doesnt say miles. Apart from silver thats the best colour for M/B.

Im having a few days off from new years eve so give me a shout

Chris

Falkster

I'm probably goning to pop down on Tuesday and have a look. Fancy meeting up and looking over the cars with me? A second eye and all that. The MB has 99k miles. Want to get to speak with the last owner as well.

The lancers are bullit proof and will be an import, and they look after their cars in Japan. The Evo i'm thinking of is unmodified.

Send me a PM if you want to meet up.

I'm sure your well used to buying motors but, it may be worth your while having the vehicle inspected once you've decided it's what you want.  I've bought many cars over the years and for th first time used a company to look at an e30 M3 cabrio, it being in Hertfordshire, I'm in Manchester.

The inspection came up with quite a few items requiring attention that the owner genuinely didn't know about, anyway the upshot was that, including an HPI check the cost of the inspection was just short of £200.00, I enentually negotiated £1,750 off the price of the car.

The cabrio stands me @ £7,250, which I wouldn't have got to without the report.

i canme to   r

Popped down to see the C36 on the coldest day and my heater packed in. Anyway the car looked fine and drove well. Struck a deal on the strength of an AA report.

AA report came back with new front wing, front and rear door on one side and front wing and door on other. Heavy rust on all inner arches and around boot lock. Windscreen wiper motor worn and the best of all the AA guy noticed rust on the gearbox. Gently removed the rust to see how bad it was and revealed a hole which started leaking the oil out of the gearbox. Best money i've spent on an inspection.

The EVO III's were a bit ropey and just did not have the class of the C36. The garage called me up and asked for a copy of the report to fix the things wrong with the car. Yeah you can if you pay me for it.

Anyway managed to find one in Newcastle with full MB dealer history and the AA check came back with tracking problem and a couple of very minor things, so pick it up on Saturday.
