hi,does anyone know the best place/make of performance exhaust to put on my e46 328,not looking for a boy racer big bore! just a nice little sporty note with a little added performance!

I know Ferrita exhausts are quite popular - no idea on loudness with BMW's but they are well know with other performance cars.

Never heard of Ferrita!

There are plenty of well know makes of quality exhaust for BMWs, it's just a question of how much you want to pay.

Supersprint have a good reputation but a full system will set you back about 1000

Eisenman are also well know but again are pricey.

Lower down the scale you have Scorpion which will be about half the price but will be quite loud and a bit boy racer. 
Entering an age of Austerity and now driving a Focus Diesel.

i fitted a supersprint to my e36 328i sport. Eurocarparts are the official dealer....

it sounds great, but if you dont push the loud pedal, then it aint loud...

 

really happy with it and it looks good too

Maybe it's a Volvo T-5 thing though after googling I found results with
BMW's being fitted with them as well.


Edit: have you thought about race-cats instead of the normal one? Or
even a cheeky de-cat pipe (a lot cheaper but might not pass an mot)
