hi guys,
I am having a complete nightmare with my bmw. the problem is that the emissions light is on and has been on for a year an a half now and the previous owner sold me the car with the light on so god knows how long its been on there! The previous owner and my self have had the car code rear on numerous occasions (total of about 4 times) all from different garages inc. bmw. however all they keep telling me is that the code read is not telling them what the fault is related to and that they would have to chuck good money after bad changing parts, which i cant afford. i have changed the crank shaft sensor and the crankcase breather valve and vacum hoses all on recommendation by garages!!!!! Im at the end of my tether and frustrated that know one knows how to solve the problem! they just tell me they have reset the code and it will be fine........... of course it comes back every time and iv wasted another £50. it doesn't seem to affect the running of the car, and it passes on the emissions every year. although it is sluggish, but thats prob because its a 316i. any help would be greatly appreciated and i would be forever in your debt if you could fix it. p.s. codes brought up are as follows: dtc status 135 - signal, camshaft sensor 171 - check fuel supply system short circuit to b+ 94 - CAN data fault from DME/DDE 26 - seat occupancy recognition 1 (SEB1) |
