any one got some reliable MPG figures for an e36 328i....

some of you will be upset about how i drive it - but needs must...

7 miles to work, 7 miles back.... mostly motorway with a wee bit traffic.....

never gets off cold cycle then.... but i try to get it out twice a week for a good run...

any idea what i should expect for a decent mpg??

When I owned one I get between 25 and 28 on my normal comute and 35 mpg on the motorway.

 

Entering an age of Austerity and now driving a Focus Diesel.

Sounds about right going from my 523i, thirstier than my E60 which I'm suprised at.

Be exclusive and drive a Petrol 5 Series!

with 7 miles one way I would guess you not even see 20mpg.
E61 520d, slow and buzzy but my wallet likes the mpg.....

with 7 miles one way I would guess you not even see 20mpg.

glad you said that - i get around 22mpg.... if i get a good run - which i try do once a week - representing about 1/4 of tank usage - the tank then usually returns 25/26 mpg.... i have had it above 30 on a long run though.....
