hey just new to this site.. i bought a 1994 3.0 v8 manual
e34 and it is gettin no spark or power to fuel pump.. can
any1 help?? help is more appreceated and many thanks folks

hi, welcome!

The fuel pumps do go, but if there's no power to it and no spark, and you've checked the fuses and fuel pump relay, then it could be an immobiliser problem.  Had something similar on my 540 (tho I didn't check spark).

pm me and i'll explain what to look for (from memory so might be a bit vague!)

yeah mate fuel pump is good as i wired it dirrect and it
def is pumpin fuel.. all fuses and relays were tested and
checked.. i was told crank sensor is very likely.. would u
think it would b crank sensor mate?? thanks a lot for your
help mate

pumps can still be knackered even if they pump - they need 3bar iirc - but it would still start, and it isn't getting power so it's not the pump.

I'm not sure about the crank sensor - I don't think it would affect the fuel pump, tho I could be remembering wrong (sold my E34 a year ago).  Any E34 owners care to comment?  Mike?  Doesn't the fuel pump run to prime it when you turn the ignition on?
