I`ve got a 840Ci,161K Mileage with All BMW Service History,& having
enjoyed the Car for the Last Year, have just started to Have 2 Spark Plugs Blow out of the Engine.
Does anyone have any Ideas as to the Cause ?
My own knowlege / Information is that this is usually due to the Plugs
Being fitted, Overtightened, or Not Being Tightened enough.
I would Appreciate, Any & All Responses.

Undertightened and they have worked loose (easily solved), overtightened and this has screwed the threads in the head, cross threaded and the same has happened or they are the wrong plugs that some one has tried to fit and again thread damage has occured ( more involved to sort out).

What are the threads like on the spark plugs that have blown out?  This might give an idea of what has happened.  How often do your spark plugs need changing? Mine have been swapped after 60,000 miles and are still good for another 60,000 miles.  Might be worth putting long life spark plugs back in that way you don't need to mess around with them if something is wrong with their fitment

Could be a number of things like Sporty has mentioned.

I have visions of Jeremy Clarksons Mazda MX5 from the Last Christmas Top Gear special.
