All

I have purchased form some guy on Ebay the BMW EPC/TIS covering most models from 1983 -2002, I paid less than a fiver and it gives Parts (Electronic Parts Catalogue) and Technical Information System (TIS) so you can pin point a problem from a list of drop downs, read through the fix and get any part numbers, its an absolute must.

I am in no way selling or endorsing this CD just saying its very useful.

How the guy has got hold of this I do not know, or it may be public domain??? Apologies if this has been mentioned on here before but I have found it very informative and better than a standard handbook manual, my only concern is that is may refernce US spec cars in some areas as Trunk and Hood is mentioned, saying this my E38 handbook calls the bonnet a hood throughout???

Cheers

The TIS & ETK CDs are excellent for getting part numbers (ETK cd) and service info (TIS cd).
I think you can get them from a dealer but as you have mentioned - you can get them far cheaper on ebay or the like. They also cover more than one type of BMW.
