Anyone know which one it is? I'm not getting 12v at the pump. Fuse is good and pump runs with 12v applied locally, any ideas?

IIRC under the plastic panel on the lefthand side of the bulkhead as you face the engine.

There's a row of 3 relays, fuel pump is the middle relay.

Thanks, unfortunately that seems to be working so back to work with the multi-meter!

Does the car have any form of alarm/immobiliser fitted to it?

Fuel and starter are common 'cuts' fpr immobilise circuits.

It has the BMW EGWS alarm system which was retrofitted by BMW in 1996.

That might be your issue, if the relay is OK and the pump works and car runs with a direct 12V feed.

My next move would be to find the immobiliser 'cuts' and bypass them
