Got home t'other day to find BMW dealer Peter Vardy in Edinburgh has written to me offering some good discounts on Approved Used BMWs.  I bought my first BMW AUC, my first E60 from Peter Vardy.  Got a good deal at the time so no problems in mibbie going back to them.

Now I'm not really thinking of changing my beast but I thought I would have a look to see what's out there in the BMW AUC range via BMWs website. If I can get a good deal on a big petrol engined machine then mibbie I could be tempted.

So I put in my postcode and budget range and tick 5 Series and I get offered a choice of 120 cars.  O.k. next box to most definately untick is of course the DIEsel button and the choice drops from 120 to 10, yes ten!  I've not even told the website to filter saloons - v - tourings.  Interestingly enough 8 out of the 10 5ers are auto, which suits me but I wouldn't reject the right specced car if had a manual box.

Quite sad that less than 10% of used 5 Series BMWs are petrol.  All BMW will be doing is reflecting public demand and what they can make the most money on.

I recall reading an article on the new F10 in a BMW mag, "70% of the new F10 models are expected to be 520d".   Pass the razor blades.

Just shows if you want to be exclusive these days, drive a petrol (manual) BMW. So I'll stick with mine for the moment thank you.
